PEI firm receives $80M shipbuilding contract

Aspin Kemp & Associates, Montague PEI, has received an $80-million contract to provide switchboards, variable frequency drives and other electronic components for drilling ships. The contract was let by GE Global Offshore and Marine, which is a tier I supplier to Irving Shipbuilding — a relationship stemming from the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy and its industrial regional benefits obligations...
