Paul Johnston has been elected vice-chair of the International Federation of Robotics at its annual general meeting in Stockholm last October. He will become chair in June 2003. Johnston is VP operations for Precarn Inc, Canada’s premier robotics and intelligent systems research network. He has served as Canada’s representative to the Federation since 1995 and has served on its executive since 2000.
