OraSure to acquire Kanata's DNA Genotek

DNA Genotek Inc, Kanata ON, has been acquired by OraSure Technologies Inc, Bethlehem PA, for $53 million in cash. DNA Genoteck develops biological sample collection stabilization and preparation products and sells its products globally in more than 100 countries. The OraSure acquisition strengthens that company's leadership in oral fluid diagnostics with added strength in the nucleic acid collection market. DNA Genotek has sales of $14 million for the year ended December 31/10….
