Open Text partners with NRC on content analytics

Open Text Corp is partnering with the National Research Council to incorporate the latter's content analytics capabilities into the Waterloo-based firm's enterprise content management (ECM) suite of products. The intellectual property licensing agreement will see NRC collaborate with Open Text's Montreal R&D Centre, which was bolstered by the acquisition of Nsetin Technologies in 2010. The project focuses on developing software for analyzing large collections of structured and unstructured data residing within organizations to improve their data mining and analysis capabilities. Open Text will be the first vendor to make content analytics pervasive across its entire ECM suite of products. Companies will use the new capabilities to boost their business intelligence….
