New $1.2-million NSERC chair to study peat bogs

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) has established a new chair at Université Laval to study restoration of bogs after peat extraction. The new chair, Line Rochefort, will receive $1.25 million over five years from NSERC, with partners providing a further $1.6 million in cash and in-kind contributions. Rochefort will lead a team of 22 people, including nine master’s and doctoral students and one postdoc researcher.
