NCE program launches two competitions

The Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) is launching two new competitions for its anchor program and for its Knowledge Mobilization Initiative (KMI). The 2012 NCE competition is inviting letters of intent (LOI) with a deadline of November 24/10. Successful applicants will be invited in spring/11 to submit full applications by the summer for consideration. It's unknown how many new NCEs will be funded as only one network (Sustainable Forest Management) is sunsetting this year. LOIs are also being solicited for the KMI, which supports networking and collaboration among well-established research teams and receptor communities. The networks must be national, multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral in composition. The deadline for LOIs is September 15/10, with full applications due April/11….
