MEDI moves on voucher and exporter forums programs

The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation (MEDI) is moving on two recommendations from the recent Jobs and Prosperity Council report (Advantage Ontario) with a pilot Commercialization and Innovation Voucher program and a new Global Exporter Forums program focused on small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The voucher program will be administered by the Ontario Centres of Excellence program which is assisting MEDI in its development. Details on the value of the vouchers and overall program funding will be announced in the near future. The first of the Global Exporter Forums will highlight the Asia Pacific region including markets in China, Japan, Korea, India and Southeast Asia.
