Marc LePage is leaving Genome Canada after five years to take up a new posting as Canadian consul general for San Francisco and San Jose. The appointment marks LePage’s return to the foreign service after 12 years. Prior to becoming executive VP at Genome Canada in 2000, he was director of business development at the Medical Research Council and then the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. In 1980, LePage joined the Trade Commissioner Service of the Department of Industry and served in Stockholm, Havana and San Diego….
