Malcolm Fraser has been appointed CEO and president of Innovacorp, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Nova Scotia, effective this October. Fraser, a technology entrepreneur, takes over from Stephen Duff, who served as Innovacorp CEO and president from 2013. Fraser founded ISL Internet Solutions Ltd., a digital agency which was later renamed MODE, in 1995. Under his leadership, ISL guided many businesses in digital transformation before its acquisition by Vancouver-based FCV Interactive in 2016. Stanfield’s, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Tourism Nova Scotia are among the companies that received coaching from ISL. Fraser graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing and economics from Mount Allison Univ. Aside from serving as board chair at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and research committee chair at Destination Canada, Fraser is a board member with the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation and Sobey Art Foundation. He is also past chair of ITANS, currently known as Digital Nova Scotia.
