Let's Talk Science receives major funding boost

Let's Talk Science (LTS) has received $12.5 million over five years from Industry Canada to quadruple its youth outreach programs to reach more than five million children from toddlers to teens. The beefed up programming will enable LTS address key barriers to youth engagement in STEM disciplines by enhancing its science, technology engineering and math (STEM) activities through its IdeaPark program aimed at young children and CurioCity program aimed at teenagers. In addition, LTS will expand its number of sites from 41 to 48 university and college campuses, increase its cadre of volunteers from 3500 to 5000 and enlarge Tomatosphere, its space exploration-themes program for school-age children….
