Leading Edge BCs funding terminated by province

The British Columbia technology community is seeking answers to the governments abrupt decision to pull funding from Leading Edge BC (LEBC), the provinces technology marketing and branding organization. The Ministry of Economic Development relayed the decision to organization executives earlier this month. LEBC was formed in late 2003with an annual budget of about $3 million. Less than 20% of its operating budget comes from industry. LEBCs board is meeting this week to ponder the organizations future and will also meet with government officials this week to gather more information on its decision....
