iFire Technology boosts size of flat panel displays

iFire Technology Inc has produced the largest ever prototype of a flat panel colour display using inorganic electroluminescent technology. The Toronto company utilized its proprietary thick film dielectric technology to nearly triple the size of its flat panel display from 17 inches to 34 inches following a three-month research project with Dai Nippon Printing Co and Sanyo Electric. iFire plans to unveil the prototype at the 2004 Society for Information Display conference in Seattle this May. iFire entered a non-exclusive technology collaboration with Sanyo last year (R$, July 29/02)....
