FPInnovations has forged a strategic partnership with Allnorth – a Vancouver-based provider of engineering and technical services – to develop energy management solutions to boost the competitiveness of pulp and paper companies in the North. The tie-up combines FPInnovations’ process insight with Allnorth’s engineering expertise to expand the work of FPInnovations with the CanmetENERGY branch of Natural Resources Canada. FPInnovations and CanmetENERGY have been working together to help mills minimize energy use while raising revenues. With the contribution of Allnorth's engineering expertise to the project, a new system will bring a higher level of innovation to the mills, featuring new technology and engineering solutions to both members and clients. The partnership also allows the two organizations to offer a range of services in energy management including: strategic planning, dynamic plant process modeling, process integration and capital cost estimating.
