Dr Robert Crawhall has been appointed VP operations at Precarn Inc as the organization makes a bid to expand its scope to include all information and communications technologies (ICT) (R$, October 14/10). Crawhall comes to Precarn from NanoQuébec where he served as CEO since July/08. He previously led the National Capital Institute of Telecommunications and Ontario Research Network in Electronic Commerce. Prior to that, he held senior R&D positions at Bell Northern Research and Nortel Networks Corp in the areas of advanced strategic networks, advanced technology strategic planning and disruptive external technologies.
