Dr Louise Proulx

Dr Louise Proulx, VP research at McGill Univ, is unexpectedly stepping down September 30 after less than two and a half hyears on the job. She assumed the role April/02. Proulx is a member of the National Research Council’s governing council and sits on the board of Canarie Inc. She will be replaced by Dr Jacques Hurtubise, who was appointed associate VP research less than two months ago. Hurtubise came to the VP research office from McGill’s department of mathematics. From 1999 to 2003 he was also director of the Centre of Mathematical Research and the Univ of Montreal He holds a BSc from the Univ of Montreal and a PhD from Oxford Univ.….
