Dr Kimberly Matheson has been appointed acting VP research and international at Carleton Univ, replacing Dr Feridun Hamdullahpur who departed less than one year into his second five-year term. Matheson joined Carleton's department of psychology, held a SSHRC Canada Research Fellow in 1990 and was appointed to full professor in 2003. Her research focuses on a wide range of issues spanning social and health sciences as well as public policy. Matheson is a member of the university's Institute of Neuroscience and heads up its Social Diversity Lab. She holds a BA Hons and MA from Carleton and a PhD from the Univ of Waterloo.
