Dr Henry Mantsch has been appointed DFAIT’s S&T counsellor in Berlin .Mantsch comes to DFAIT from the National Research Council’s Institute for Biodiagnostics (IBD) where he was principal research officer and head of the spectroscopy section. Mantsch is a celebrated researcher and was co-founder of the IBD along with Dr Ian Smith, capping a career at the NRC that began as a post doctoral fellow in 1968.
