Dr Andrew Parkin has been appointed the director of the Mowat Centre, an independent public policy think tank associated with the School of Public Policy & Governance at the Univ of Toronto. Parkin is an independent public policy analyst and consultant at Dalhousie Univ. Past positions include DG at the Council of Ministers of Education, associate executive director and director of research and program development at the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation and co-director of the Centre for Research and Information on Canada. Parkin completed post-doctoral work in sociology and social anthropology at Dalhousie Univ and holds a PhD in philosophy from the Univ of Bradford and a BA from Queen’s Univ.
