Digital Opportunities Task Force issues follow-up

The Digital Opportunities Task (DOT) Force has released a follow-up to its 2001 Genoa Plan of Action that outlines how governments can use information and communications technologies (ICT) to narrow the technological gap between developed and developing nations. Canada is the current chair of DOT Force, a position held by Peter Harder, Industry Canada’s DM. The report card is accompanied by seven implementations teams which have prepared reports on the following areas: access and connectivity, national e-strategies, human capacity and knowledge, enterprise and entrepreneurship, ICT for health, global policy participation and local content and applications.
