David Dodge has been selected to chair a new expert panel on the future needs of science, technology engineering and math (STEM) for the Council of Canadian Academies (CCA). The Expert Panel on STEM Skills for the Future was requested by Employment and Social Development Canada (formerly Human Resources and Skills Development Canada) to address the question: How well is Canada prepared to meet future skills requirements in STEM? Dodge is a former governor of the Bank of Canada and former DM at Health Canada and Finance Canada. He is currently chancellor of Queen's Univ and a senior advisor at Bennett Jones LLP, a business law firm with headquarters in Toronto and Calgary. He holds board member positions at Canadian Utilities Ltd, CD Howe Institute, Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, Bank of Nova Scotia and ATCO Ltdā¦.
