CIHR and CBCF tackle breast cancer in young women

In other news, CIHR has teamed with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for a $5.7-million initiative to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life for young women with breast cancer. The CBCF-CIHR Breast Cancer in Young Women Research Program is aimed at gaps not currently addressed by traditional operating grants and other funding mechanisms. The initiative involves 62 researchers and clinicians at 44 institutions and is led by Dr Steven Narod, senior scientist, Women's College Research Institute....
