Chairs program awards funding for 123 new chairs

The Canada Research Chairs (CRC) program has announced funding of $116.4 million for another 123 chairs, bringing its total to 746. Nearly 35% or 43 of the new chairs are categorized as external recruits, bumping up the overall rate since the program was founded from 15% to more than 17%.
