CFI makes Leaders Opportunity Fund awards

The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) has awarded $45.5 million to 251 projects under its Leaders Opportunity Fund (LOF) and associated Infrastructure Operating Fund. The LOF is designed to give universities the flexibility to quickly attract and retain top-flight researchers by purchasing research infrastructure to sweeten compensation packages. The funds from the latest LOF competition went to 44 institutions in 36 cities and support 312 researchers.
