A new study shows that Canada continues to lag behind the US in its investment in information and communications technologies (ICT). Entitled An Analysis of the Canada-US ICT Investment Gap:An Update to 2013 by the Centre for the Study of Living Standards, the report says that US investment has increased 1.5% annually between 2008 to 2013. In contrast, Canadian investment declined by 1% a year during the same period. The bulk of Canada's decline (9.4%) occurred the 2008 recession and modest gains since then have failed to bring investment back to pre-2008 levels. The result is a 1.3% annual drop in ICT investment per worker, while per-worker investment in the US rose by 2% a year. The report can be found at www.csls.ca/reports/csls2015-01.pdf....
