CAE Healthcare launched NRC-developed neurosimulator

CAE Healthcare has launched a neurosurgery simulator for training surgeons developed by the National Research Council (NRC). The NeuroVR simulator is currently in use at 15 sites and has been validated in several clinical studies. The simulator has 37 training modules that provide a training environment for open cranial and endoscopic brain surgery procedures.The system has been in development at NRC since 2008, leveraging its expertise in virtual reality technology for medical simulation in conjunction with several Canadian teaching hospitals....
