Brian McFadden has been appointed chief technology officer (CTO) of Nortel Networks Corp reporting to president/CEO William Owens. He replaces Greg Mumford who officially retired from the Brampton-based company October 1st. McFadden is a 25-year veteran of Nortel having held a variety of positions in Ottawa, St Laurent PQ, Seoul South Korea and Maidenhead UK. Prior to assuming the CTO position, he was president of Optical Networks and president of Optical Metro.
