The Government of British Columbia is investing $32.6 million in more than $200 million worth of alternative energy technology projects. The provincial Innovative Clean Energy fund is providing $22.6 million for 19 projects worth $96 million in solar, ocean and tidal wave, geothermal, wind, biomass, wastewater, energy conservation and management and variable street light technologies. Another $10 million dedicated to liquid biofuels supports eight projects valued at more than $100 million to develop cellulosic, ethanol, biodiesel and biofuels technologies.
