Shopify expands footprint in Waterloo region

Shopify has announced a major expansion in the Waterloo region with plans to hire 300 people. The Ottawa-based e-commerce high-tech darling will move into a building once occupied by the Centre for International Governance in downtown Waterloo. Staff will be recruited in the areas of engineering, design, sales, account management, training and human resources. It also has large satellite offices in Toronto and Montreal.
