Test bed urged to stimulate government procurement

The Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) is calling on the government to create Technology Test Beds so that firms can contribute to increased government productivity and create reference accounts for pursuing international markets. The test beds would act as an incubator to conceive, develop and sustain new technology solutions for government and would signal a breakthrough in the tech sector's frequent lobbying for greater government procurement from Canadian companies. CATA is also calling on the government to endorse its Networked Vehicle Foundation concept through the merger of vehicles and global broadband ICT infrastructure upon which a wide range of services and capabilities can be created....
