The Quebec Consortium for Drug Discovery and France's Alsace BioValley have signed a partnership agreement that will see the co-financing of collaborative projects in health and therapeutic innovation. The projects will be two to three years in duration, financed with up to $4.5 million through public-private bi-national partnerships and aimed at developing new tools to facilitate safer and more effective drugs. Thematic calls for proposals will be issued and proposals will be reviewed by a committee of international experts. A pilot call for proposals earlier this year yielded two research projects - new biomarkers for neuroendocrine cancers and inducible transgenic mouse models of Alzheimer's diseaseā€¦.
