Innovation ministers meet to discuss aligned strategy

Federal and provincial ministers responsible for innovation and economic development have agreed to establish a permanent ministerial table with a focus on innovation, economic growth and job creation with a two-year plan that includes clean growth, clusters and leading-edge technologies. The ministers met last week in Vancouver with innovation leaders who led roundtables last summer as part of the Innovation Agenda consultations. Ministers were also updated on several ongoing initiatives including strategies to scale up high-growth firms, initiatives to strengthen innovation networks and clusters, the Atlantic Growth Strategy and the Council of the Federation's Economic Productivity and Innovation Working Group. The ministerial table will meet in Vancouver next year….
