GE Healthcare and BIOTIC strike collaboration

GE Healthcare Canada and the Biomedical Translational Imaging Centre (BIOTIC) at Halifax's QEII Health Sciences Centre have partnered to validate and commercialize software-powered medical imaging technology. The collaboration leverages QEII's acquisition of GE's 3T magnetic resonance imaging technology and BIOTIC's expertise in developing medial imaging-based technology. Initial applications will focus on software solutions to better diagnose and treat brain, liver and prostate diseases. BIOTIC is a research imaging lab shared between QEII and the IWK Health Centre....
