Canada and Brazil team on six S&T projects

The International Science and Technology Program (ISTP) has co-funded six S&T projects between Canadian and Brazilian researchers involving more than 60 companies and universities. ISTP will contribute $1 million augmented by $1.2 million from other Canadian partners while the State of Sao Paulo Research Foundation and its partners will contribute $1.6 million for a total of $3.7 million. Three joint research projects will focus on fibre optics, biodegradable plastics and satellite technology, while three development initiatives will study the future potential of geomatics, wireless telecommunications and nanotechnology. The projects were selected from a list of 33 submissions….
