BDC earmarks $200M for ICT loans

The b is setting aside $200 million to help entrepreneurs acquire information and communications technology (ICT). Announced October 17 as part of the government's yet-to-be-released Digital Economy Strategy, the program will provide medium-term loans of up to $50,000 to small businesses, including individual or home offices. The money can be used to purchase hardware, software and consulting services, including Internet solutions to boost online sales. BDC has also launched a new "Smart Tech" online resource centre that offers technology tools to help small businesses boost productivity and accelerate growth....
