WD supports 3D printing for orthopaedic innovation

Western Economic Diversification is providing $5 million to Winnipeg's Orthopaedic Innovation Centre to establish an Advanced Digital Manufacturing Hub for prototyping and commercialization by client businesses. The grant will be used to purchase metal additive manufacturing equipment to assist in the testing, development, precision measurement and fabrication of orthopaedic materials and technologies. Partnering in the industrial 3D printing project are Stratasys Manufacturing Inc, EOS North America and the Province of Manitoba….
