Vancouver home to fully integrated high-tech business park

Vancouver's east side will be the site of what is being hailed as the largest fully integrated advanced technology business park in North America. The initial phase of construction on 18-acre, the $500-million tech-park.com is slated to begin this fall, with the first of 13 separate buildings open for tenants in early 2001. Once completed in 2005, the park will house 12,000-15,000 knowledge-based employees. It will feature expansive open space, high security, and fibre optic voice and data communication infrastructure, including satellite uplink available to all tenants.
