TPC invests in Thales avionics R&D project

Thales Avionics Inc (formerly Sextant Avionics Canada) has received a $9.9-million investment from Technology Partnerships Canada for an R&D project to adapt flight control, navigation and vision systems for smaller regional and business aircraft. The project is part of a world product mandate Thales received from its European parent for avionics related to business and regional aircraft. Thales will develop the three systems based on technology used by larger and more expensive aircraft....
