TPC funds demo for heavy oil recovery technology

Technology Partnerships Canada is investing $9 million in a $44.7-million heavy oil development and demonstration project being undertaken by Petrobank Energy and Resources Ltd, Calgary. The Whitesands pilot project is intended to demonstrate Petrobank’s Toe-to-Heel Air Injection heavy oil recovery process in an area south of Fort McMurray AB.
