Surface Medical receives angel investment

Calgary based Surface Medical Inc has received a new round of financing through The Accelerate Fund, a co-investment fund between AVAC Ltd and local angel investors. Surface Medical has developed CleanPatch — a medical surface repair kit for hospital beds and stretchers — to combat healthcare-associated infections — which cost $48 billion and cause 100,000 deaths in North America annually.
