SSHRC funds advanced materials research

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) has awarded a $159,000 grant for a study on the growth challenges of advanced materials firms. The study will be undertaken by Dr Elicia Maine, assistant business professor at Simon Fraser Univ. Maine will collaborate with researchers from the Univ of Cambridge and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on issues such as technical and market risk and financing requirements.
