SSHRC awards four new MCRI grants

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) has awarded $10 million over seven years for four Major Collaborative Research Initiatives. York Univ secured two of the awards to investigate suburban growth in the 21st century and new ways to organize long-term residential care for seniors. McGill Univ will lead a research project examining the rise and development of the Indian Ocean region including India and China. The Univ of Ottawa leads a project to examine how religion effects the legal, political and social environment. The four projects will involve 140 Canadian and international researchers….
