Second round of college projects receives $20 million

Quebec CEGEPs are the big winners in the second competition of the College and Community Innovation Program (CCI). Now a permanent program of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, the latest round yielded nine winners including four CEGEP projects. The winners will share $20.1 million over five years with recipients receiving between $1.9 million and $2.3 million per project. The CEGEPs selected are located in Rimouski, Saint-Jérôme, Trois-Riviéres and Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Other colleges receiving funding are: Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (Calgary), Seneca College (Toronto), Red River College (Winnipeg), Algonquin College (Ottawa ) and Fanshawe College (London). The announcements were made at the Polytechnics Canada Science and Technology Showcase on November 27 at Seneca College....
