SAIT Polytechnic establishes RFID research chair

SAIT Polytechnic (formerly the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) has teamed with Hewlett Packard and Cicso to fund an applied research chair in radio frequency identification (RFID) applications development. The inaugural chairholder is Glen Kathler, a veteran of the telecommunications industry and a SAIT employee since 1997. He will work with the recently opened RFID Applications Development Lab, which received $300,000 from Western Economic Diversification Canada....
