Compute Canada has announced the appointment of Robbin Tourangeau as its interim president and CEO effective this month. Tourangeau replaces acting president and CEO Terry Lockhart, who assumed the post last fall following the departure of Mark Dietrich after three years of service. Lockhart resumes his post as director of finance. Tourangeau was most recently founding executive director of the Leadership Council on Digital Research Infrastructure (LCDRI) and brings with her extensive experience in strategic public policy development, advocacy and project delivery. Prior to working at LCDRI, Tourangeau spent 10 years at the Council of Ontario Universities. She’s been working in policy and strategic development in Ottawa ever since she started out as parliamentary intern 20 years ago. She served as senior policy advisor on social development in the prime minister’s office of Jean Chrétien, and as a senior policy analyst responsible for social and municipal/Aboriginal policy at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
