Quantiam and NOVA launch nanomaterials project

Edmonton’s Quantiam Technologies Inc is using $3.5 million from Technology Partnerships Canada to launch a $12.2-million R&D project into nanotechnology-based coating for the production of olefins for use in plastics, textiles and other chemicals. Quantiam will lead a consortium along with NOVA Chemicals Corp to develop and demonstrate new nanomaterials to coat the surfaces of olefins furnace coils. The innovation will allow manufacturers to reduce emissions and cut production costs....
