Quantiam and NOVA launch nanomaterials project

Edmonton’s Quantiam Technologies Inc is using $3.5 million from Technology Partnerships Canada to launch a $12.2-million R&D project into nanotechnology-based coating for the production of olefins for use in plastics, textiles and other chemicals. Quantiam will lead a consortium along with NOVA Chemicals Corp to develop and demonstrate new nanomaterials to coat the surfaces of olefins furnace coils.
