Pilot plant for hydrogen production receives $2.7M

The Univ of Regina has received $2.7 million to support construction of a pilot plant to demonstrate its catalyst for converting different feedstocks into hydrogen. The projects should take about three years and are supported by the Canada-Saskatchewan Western Economic Partnership Agreement. U of R has established a critical mass of researchers working on carbon capture and storage and biofuels such as biodiesel and hydrogen. Feedstocks such as gasified biomass, coal, landfill gas and waste from natural gas and oil refining will be used....
