Penn West funds NAIT's land reclamation R&D

Penn West Exploration is providing $350,000 to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) to undertake applied research in the boreal forest region of northwest Alberta. The funding, sourced from Penn West's Community Matters Program, will allow NAIT's Boreal Research Institute to undertake forest land reclamation efforts in and around oil and gas sites that have reached their commercial lifespan. The research will focus on best practices and increasing knowledge in the collection, storage, cleaning and propagation of native seeds and plants in the Peace River region….
