NSERC's college program makes 11 new awards

Eleven new projects have been awarded nearly $15 million under the College and Community Innovation Program (CCIP) administered by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). The value of the awards range from $200,000 to $2.3 million and will last between two and five years, covering a wide range of technology applications from land reclamation from abandoned oil and gas wells to the promotion of health and social inclusion. The colleges receiving funding are located in Atlantic Canada (2), Quebec (2), Ontario (3), Alberta (3) and British Columbia (1). The size of the CCIP was doubled in the 2010 Budget with an increase of $15 million annually….
