NCE program extends funding for four Networks

The Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) program has announced that funding for four of its Centres will be extended for another three-years for a total commitment of $55 million. Extended NCEs and their annual funding levels are: Auto 21 ($5.8 million), Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network ($3.55 million), Canadian Water Network ($3.7 million), and Stem Cell Network ($5.3 million). The extensions were granted after an in-depth review of each Network’s research plans and priorities, knowledge transfer activities, training and scientific accomplishments….
