iFire enters technology collaboration with Sanyo

iFire Technology Inc has entered a non-exclusive technology collaboration agreement with Sanyo Electric Co, Japan, to help establish the technical and commercial foundation for its flat panel, large-screen television technology. iFire, a subsidiary of The Westaim Corp, will work with Sanyo as it moves its solid-state, inorganic electroluminescent (EL) display technology from R&D to pilot production. iFire has already demonstrated the largest flat panel EL display (17 inches) to date with color quality equal to the cathode ray tube.
